Thank you for stopping by my page to meet my new creations! I can't believe it's December already and another year gone! All my bears are hand stitched and made from the most wonderful fabrics, trims and bits and bobs I can find, many collected over the years in wonderful places like antique markets in Belgium or Paris. I love fossicking through the talbes laden with goodies for tiny pieces of lace, or old flowers for instance, that I can take home and make a bear to preserve the treasure forever. Mind you, sometimes it can take years to find the perfect personality to use a special piece of lace or flower! A little about me... I have been making bears since the early 1990's specialising in small/miniature bear since around 2000. My bears live in collections in many countries around the world, from my home country of Australia, to New Zealand, Singapore, the USA, Canada, UK and EUrope. It's always such an honour when someone adds one of my little ones to their collection. Jingles

Little Jingles is on her way home after finding the most lovely Christmas tree in town! Hand stitched from vintage and new long piled velvets, she has 5 cotter pin and disc joints, wired arms for getle posing, and is filled with pure Australian wool and stainless steel shot for a little weight in your hand. Jingles stands approx. 7.5cm small/3" approx and has sparkling black English glass eyes, a needle sculpted face and soft shading, including rosy cheeks from being outside in the snow. Her cuffs and cap are made from gorgeou Japanese silk pile plush. Three tiny jingle bells adorn the end of her cap, tinkling wherever she goes. Jingle comes to you with her vintage style bottlebrush tree and tiny wooden sled. Jingle is $135 Australian, approx $90USD, plus postage

Coco

Coco is the largest of my pieces in the show, sitting a relatively large 10cm/4" and hand stitched from plush Alpaca fur. She has 5 cotter pin and disc joints and is filled with stainless steel, glass beads and pure Australian wool. Her arms are wired for gentle posing and she has a needle and scissor sculpted face, spaarkling black English glass eyes and a waxed embroidered nose. Coco's features are gently shaded. Coco wears a dress made from antique French lace I found at a market in Paris, truly a gorgeous piece of lace and it's colour compliments Coco's fur beautifully. She wears a matching net bow topped with a toning vintage millinery flower and accented with sparkling crystals in a soft golden colour. Around her neck she wears a string of vintage faux pearls tied with a silk bow, just like her namesake, that most famous of fashionable Parisian ladies, Coco Chanel. Soirée

This adorable pair is all ready to ring in the New Year, hand stitched from vintage long pile velvet in traditional gold colour. They sit approximately 5cm/2" small, and their vintage golden beaded evening purse is approximately 11cm/4.5" wide. each little bear has five cotter pin and disc joints, sparkling black glass eyes and gently shaded features. They wear tutu style party dresses of soft ivory tulle, adorned with vintage millinery flowers in soft pink and ivory shades, sprinkled with sparkling Aurora Borealis crystals. They come to you nestled in this adorable little vintage golden beaded evening purse with a golden satin lining. I have fancied up the purse with matching tulle drapery and yet more precious vintage flowers. Soiree is $225 Australian, or approx. $150 USD plus postage.

Sugarplum

Sugarplum is a tiny wee girl hand stitched from extra long pile mini velvet in a light latte colour. She has five cotter pin and disc joints, sparkling black English glass eyes and is filled with stainless steel shot and pure Australian wool. Sugarplum sits at a teeny tiny 5cm/2" appproximately and wears a dress of soft pink cotton netting and a sash of pink velvet adorned with a sparkling crystal buckle. She wears a tiny velvet vintage millinery flower on her head, along with a matching netting bow. Sugarplum is $130 Australian, approx $86 USD plus shipping

Cookie the Gingerbear

Cookie the Gingerbear thinks she is a litte Gingerbread man- or girl!! She is hand stitched from gorgeous vintage long pile velvet in soft oyster colour for her head, and rich ginger for her body. Cookie has five cotter pin and disc joints and is filled with stainless steel and pure Australian wool for a nice weight in your hands. she has wired arms for gentle posing, sparkling black English glass eyes and a gently shaded face, even rosy cheeks! She is decorated with Christmas red rick-rack braid, looking just like the frosting on a gingerbread man, and a red velvet ruffly collar. Matching red velvet bows sit at each tiny ear. Cookie carries a green Christmas wreath with golden jingle bells and a red velvet bow. She sits approx. 5cm/2" small, or 7cm/3" overall. Cookie is $135 Australian, or approx. $90USD plus postage

The Night Before Christmas- Bunny in Pink

I'd like to introduce you to Bunny, The Night Before Christmas. This Bunny is dressed in pink design incorporated pyjamas with a ruffly lace collar and tiny pearl 'buttons' (there is also another 'Bunny' dressed in lilac just below) She stands approx.7cm/3" small and has 5 cotter pin and disc joints, wired arms and is filled with steel shot and pure Australian wool. Her eyes are sparkling black English glass and her sweet little face is needle and scissor sculpted as well as shaded for extra personality, even rosy cheeks! Please meet "Bunny, The Night Before Christmas", a sweet little girl standing approx. and hand stitched from vintage and modern long pile velvets. She has wired arms to hug her little blanket, and design incorporated pyjamas and cozy little bunny slippers. Her face is needle and scissor sculpted, and she features shading around her sparkling black English glass eyes. Snowdrop

Meet Snowdrop, a sweet little girl standing approx. 7cm/3" small and hand stithed from vintage and new long pile velvets. She has five cotter pin and disc joints, sparkling black glass English eyes, a needle an d scissor sculpted face, and soft shading to accent her sweeet features. Snowdrop's arms are wired to hold her vintage-style bottlebrush Christmas tree, and her cuffs and hat are trimmed with Japanese silk plush. At her waist she wears a velvet sash with a heart shaped rhinestone buckle. Snowdrop is $135 Australian, approximately USD$90 plus shipping.
